This event, born in the 70′ following the will of some Venetians to remember the problem of waves in Venice, consists of a race whose path winds to discover the lagoon and its hidden landscapes.
It is in fact a non-competitive 30 km rowing race, with the participation of boats of every type and form and thousands of Venetian and foreign rowers, among the most evocative places of the Venice lagoon.
You can participate with any type of rowing boat, without weight, size, and number of rowers, except for out-boating rowing boats. To all the competitors who have completed the entire route, a medal and a diploma of participation will be presented upon arrival.
From the morning the boats will gather in the San Marco basin in front of the Palazzo Ducale a large number of boats of all kinds and shapes that await the start to start the rowing marathon that will wind through the most beautiful islands of the lagoon, from Murano and Burano to Sant’Erasmo, returning to Venice through the canal of Cannaregio, arriving at Punta della Dogana.
